Hiding and Focusing on Charted Data
A straightforward way to refresh your view of a chart is to single out items for closer focus or remove some of the charted elements. This allows you to concentrate on particular items of interest.
Focusing on Items
To focus on a chart item:
- Select one or more objects on which you want to concentrate.
displays the item(s) with a dotted outline.
- Choose Chart
Focus On Items.
The chart is redrawn to display only the chart object(s) selected. A drillbit icon appears in the Outliner next to the item(s) on which you focused.
To return to the original chart display:

Choose Chart Show All Items.

Hiding Items
To hide charted data:
- In the chart, select the objects you want to hide.
displays the item(s) with a dotted outline.
- Choose Chart
Hide Items.
redraws the chart with the selected objects removed. A drillbit icon appears in the Outliner next to the item(s) you hid.
To restore hidden chart items:

Choose Chart Show Hidden Items.
