Report Designer

The Report Designer is a dynamic, analytical report writer that allows you to create free form, presentation-quality reports.

A variety of components enable you to design the exact look and feel of a report. In addition, the Report Designer's layout tools simplify how you produce a report. A drag and drop interface enables you to easily add graphic objects, predefined fields, band-style reports, and data from multiple data sources, computed fields, charts and pivots.

You can insert multiple tables into each band, and each table can originate from the same or different results set. In addition, you can correlate the data in a single table across queries in the report. When using columns from multiple results sets in a single report table, the report engine matches the data based on any common keys.

Charts and Pivots are either static objects or dynamic objects depending on the relationship of the data in the report to the data in the Chart or Pivot section. If a relationship exists, the Chart or Pivot is considered a "Smart Report."
